Thank pop star Justin Timberlake for supporting veganism on national television.
“Bring it on down to Veganville!” Recently, pop singer Justin Timberlake performed a skit on Saturday Night Live that supported environmentally-friendly and animal-friendly eating habits. Dressed as a big hunk of tofu, Justin sang and rapped about going vegan, convincing a faux hot-dog salesman to change his ways. As silly and entertaining as the skit may have been, the message conveyed was a positive one.
Choosing a vegan lifestyle means saving the lives of about 100 animals a year, standing up against the cruel slaughter that occurs in today’s factory farms where meat is produced. It also helps the environment, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, using less land and water resources than a meat-eater’s diet. A vegan diet is also good for our bodies, reducing the risk of heart disease, obesity, and diabetes.
Making veganism cool and sexy, and putting veganism out there for the general public to consider, has earned Timberlake our respect and appreciation. Sign the petition to say thank you.
