Santa Cruz News: Labor Day Weekend Art Workshop Happening in Capitola, California

Santa Cruz local artist Toaa Dallo offers his first art workshop this Saturday, September 2 during the Labor Day Holiday. What a great way to celebrate than to create a work of art!

The first atelier of September will teach artists and artists at heart how to paint an island sunset, and by the end of the day, they will have a  completed piece of artwork.

Island Sunset

Saturday, September 2, at Palace Art in Capitola (11 am to 6 pm).

The warm glowing light and dramatic colors of an island sunset sky are great fun to paint. In this special one-day workshop. During the workshop, the students will learn about composition, color theory, and contrast. It’s the perfect introduction to painting and a great refresher course for more experienced painters. And all students will finish the day with a beautiful painting to take home and show off. 

The workshops welcome all-level of artistry, even beginners and at the end of the day, the students get to bring a completed piece of art. 


The workshops are $65, including materials, canvas, and paints.
