2016 RAM 1500 is available with minor changes like LED cargo lights but it also some smart safety features like Uconnect Access that can find stolen vehicle in a hassle free manner.
Last year RAM debuted an upgraded central console for better connectivity in its Laramie Limited and Rebel trims and this year the central console has been made standard on all 2016 Dodge RAM 1500 trims.

While the V6 is the base engine, turbocharged V6 is offered as an option on all the trims except Express, Sport and Rebel models.
Rear wheel drive is the standard but 4WD with two options is also available. The 4WDs use two speed transfer case with low range gearing. The first option is a traditional part-time option with manual mode selection and the second has an Auto 4WD mode that keeps switching between rear and four-wheel drive according to driving conditions.

The emergency telematics system Uconnect Access provides stolen vehicle tracking by connecting the vehicle to the 911 operators.
