Distiller 55 Above is delighted to announce that they have won a host of awards in the 2015 International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC) for The 56 Premium Vodka and also Toffee Infused vodka.
The 56 was awarded a Silver award in the Bloody Mary category and also a Bronze award in the Tasting category for Artisan Vodkas.
The Toffee Infused vodka scooped a silver award in the Flavoured Spirit section.
Founded in 1969, the IWSC is considered to be the most prestigious competition of its kind in the world.
The awards given by the competition are believed to be among some of the highest honours in the industry. Judging for the Competition is unique in that it has two stages; first, the products are tasted blind by expert panels, selected from over 300 fully experienced and qualified industry judges. Then, products which receive the top medals are subject to technical analysis before results are released; this crucial stage ensures winners receive complete validation.
55 Above sets out to make something new by employing traditional methods and values. What has been achieved is a unique range of vodkas using only the purest of ingredients, bottles a few hundred at a time to ensure the highest quality and taste. These awards mean recognition for the hard work and effort poured into every single bottle. As an Artisan British Spirits Company, 55 Above, continues to create new and exciting spirits while upholding these same values.
The IWSC awards will ensure customers can be confident that they are purchasing an Artisan British Vodka of distinction.
55 Above is a small, independent distillery established in 2014 with the vision of producing exceptional quality, handcrafted vodkas in small batches using traditional copper pot distilling methods.
