In honour of breast cancer awareness month, Ste. Anne’s Spa is pleased to offer a Peaceful Warrior Yoga Retreat in October. This three-night, four-day retreat is geared towards survivors, fighters and the ones who love and care for them.
Throughout the retreat, a gifted group of teachers and therapists will lead participants through a gentle yoga program that includes pranayama (breath work), restorative yoga, traditional hatha yoga, and meditation. Daily walks enjoying the beauty of Ste. Anne’s property will be offered as an opportunity to reconnect to Mother Nature. Ste. Anne’s Spa will also be offering a workshop on Chakra Balancing for healing.
All levels of yoga students are encouraged to participate, from those who have never experienced yoga to those who practice yoga on an on-going basis. Participants will have the opportunity to join other women who may have similar stories and emotions as they come together to reside as peaceful warriors.
The retreat is hosted by Ste. Anne’s resident yoga teacher, and fellow breast cancer survivor, Jenn Hall, who shares experience and understanding of the unique needs that women living with breast cancer may have, both on and off of the yoga mat. “As a breast cancer survivor and yoga teacher myself,” says Jen, “I am honoured to bring together fellow survivors and fighters to share as we explore yoga, meditation, healing and community support at our beautiful getaway here in the Northumberland Hills.”
Jenn brings over 12 years experience in the health and fitness industry. She is a certified Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor, and Yoga Teacher, specializing in Hatha, Vinyasa Flow, and Gentle Yoga.
The retreat includes three nights in a deluxe accommodation, $360 spa and wellness allowance, three group meals per day, yoga practices, guided walks, a wellness workshop, skin care class and much more. Yoga mats, blankets, yoga props, pillows and eye pillows will be provided for participants during the retreat.
