The award winning Electric Picnic festival has been tipped by the music industry to be one of the most sought after festivals this summer.
The festival is often referred to as the “mini Glastonbury” festival and is ever gaining ground on the more commercial Irish festivals such as Oxygen Festival. Punters love the relaxed non-commercial atmosphere and the Eco friendly initiatives the festival promotes across the site. Electric Picnic first started as a one day event in 2004 but has grown rapidly since and festival dates have been increased.
This year’s festival takes place over three days to accommodate the ever growing festival crowd. Due to the economic recession festival punters always feel a sting when it comes to travelling to the festival. Airport parking websites such as Parkat have become great solutions for international festival goers looking for the cheapest travel/ connivance options. The festival is run annually in Laois, a small county in Ireland.
Official festival dates are Fri-Sun 2nd, 3rd & 4th September. Weekend tickets start at 240 Euroes to book please visit http://electricpicnic.ie/
