Warner Bros. and Artificial Life, Inc. Announce ‘Happy Feet’ Mobile Game for Japan
HONG KONG and TOKYO,(rushprnews)Â April 23, 2007 — Hong Kong-based Artificial Life, Inc. (OTCBB:ALIF), a leading provider of award-winning mobile 3G technology and applications, today announced the signing of a mobile game development agreement with Warner Bros. Digital Distribution, a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group.
The parties agreed to develop a mobile game for the Japanese market based on the Oscar(tm)-winning animated feature movie “Happy Feet.”
The new “Happy Feet” mobile game will consist of six mini-games that closely resemble key scenes and themes from the award-winning movie. The mini-games can also be played as separate games. The game distribution will commence and coincide with the release of the DVD of the “Happy Feet” movie in Japan in mid 2007. The game will support most popular 2.5G and 3G Japanese phones.
“This represents the first time Warner Bros. will release a mobile game in the Japanese market which is based upon a Warner Bros. ‘tentpole’ theatrical release. We are delighted to be working with Artificial Life to do so,” said Julian Lai-Hung, Director of Digital Distribution, Warner Entertainment Japan.
“We are honored to work with the team at Warner Bros. Japan to develop this cool ‘Happy Feet’ mobile game. It is an exciting game and will certainly attract many movie goers and fans of ‘Happy Feet.’ The cooperation with Warner Bros. Japan will also kick start our games distribution in Japan, one of the most sophisticated mobile markets in the world with the highest number of 3G subscribers, and further strengthen our position as the leading global mobile 3G game developer,” said Eberhard Schoneburg, CEO of Artificial Life, Inc.
