NEW YORK (RUSHPRNEWS) JULY 30, 2008–As previously reported by Yo! Raps, Rick Ross’ pre-rap career was exposed to the world by TheSmokingGun.com. Fans and fellow MCs were up in arms, not because of his career choice, but because of the rapper’s apparent dishonesty. Now, in what seems to be an attempt to drive the nail deeper in Rick’s professional coffin, Thesmokinggun.com has released more documents further detailing his employment with the Florida Department of Corrections. Taking advantage of the Freedom of Information Act, the site has now uncovered more documents including Rick’s employment application, an award certificate, and his personal history record.
The site even went as far to trace the names on his application, specifically his mother and sister, Tommie Ann Roberts and Tawanda Roberts, back to the liner notes of “Trilla.”
Ross’ resignation letter is also posted to the site. Dated June 2nd, 1997, the letter reads, “My decision has been made after months of deliberation, and now I feel that this is the right decision for me. Thank you for your interest in my career and for the experience I’ve gained through my employment at South Florida Reception Center.”
