“The Triple Crown is a celebrated American tradition, and we’re excited to see our new space as the backdrop for such a fun and exciting event,” said Taro Ito, President and CEO of Running Aces Casino & Racetrack. “The Kentucky Derby event here at Running Aces brought in a great crowd. We expect more of the same lively combination of sportsmanship, food and drink at the airing of the 140th Preakness.” The May 16th event, taking place all day beginning at 8:00 a.m. at the North Metro hot spot, is the second in a series of broadcasts featuring the Kentucky Derby, Preakness and Belmont Stakes.
Just last month, Running Aces completely reinvented the simulcast section of its floor plan. With over 20 new HD TVs and two flawless 80-inch feature screens, the brand new simulcast area will provide the best experience for watching and wagering on the Preakness as well as live harness horse racing at the track starting Saturday, June 6th.
“The simulcast experience at Running Aces today is on another level,” says Ito. “With personal TVs and betting screens, fresh food served at all hours, and outlets for phones, tablets and PCs at every seat — I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again — Running Aces has a ‘wow’ factor.”
On May 16th, the simulcast area will open at 8:00 a.m. to accommodate early wagers for the 2015 Preakness. First post is at 9:30 a.m. and the Atrium opens at 12:00 p.m.
Running Aces offers year-round simulcast wagering on standard bred, thoroughbred and quarter horse racing, opening daily at 11 a.m. On days when the first race is after 2 p.m., the simulcast area opens at noon.
