As anyone who has found themself in need of legal advice will know, it can be very difficult to get to grips with the terminology involved in the world of business law. Such matters can be very daunting to deal with in the first place – the intricacies of the legal system are complex enough to the layman without the extra layer of trepidation brought about by the unfamiliar language that often becomes involved. Another factor, of course, is the fact that most people only encounter these terms in times of great stress.
This is why Leeds-based insolvency practitioners Chamberlain & Co have launched a Youtube channel carrying a series of useful videos with the intent of clarifying the meaning of several legal subjects which are not often discussed on video. Topics covered include business rescue, insolvency, and bankruptcy, along with the various agreements which can be reached at the end of the life of a business, and numerous associated concepts.
Business owner Michael Chamberlain and fellow long-time practitioner Colin Savile are both experts in their field with decades of shared experience and many business rescues under their belt. In this series of shorts, they appear on-screen to impart their knowledge of the many processes that can be followed by struggling businesses and the terms that will be encountered by those who find themselves in this position.
