Digital Broadcasting Group (DBG), the leading creator, producer and distributor of original video content and branded entertainment across digital media, today announced they will be launching SPACES, an original home & design online video channel as part of YouTube’s new original channels initiative.
Nine new original programs are already in production for SPACES, which willdebut on YouTube in April 2012. YouTube has announced plans to bring dozens of new original channels, created specifically for today’s connected viewers, to its platform.
“Bringing SPACES to YouTube is another important milestone in what’s been a year of rapid growth for the company,” said DBG CEO Chris Young. “We’re thrilled to be part of the evolution of original online content on the YouTube platform.”
“Expect an advice-driven, “lean-forward” programming slate that’ll dig into the creative minds of some of the top designers, celebrities and hands-on professionals in the industry,” said DBG Chief Creative Officer Joseph Gomes.
SPACES will feature programming hosted by and featuring top designers, celebrities, and notable influencers in the home and design space. Viewer participation will be encouraged through feedback on YouTube and other social media platforms.
Initial SPACES programming will include:
