Creating Futures – ClearView Plumbing Reaches Out To Calgary’s Education Non-Profits

As children across the country head to school each day, a new report by Statistics Canada shows one in five of Canadian teens are no longer in school.

Numbers released by the federal agency show 20% of Canadian youth between the ages of 15 and 19 were no longer pursing a formal education in 2009.

For over a decade, ClearView Plumbing has been deeply involved in the communities of greater Calgary.  This commitment is firmly embedded in the  core values of the  company and exemplified by its corporate citizenship.  They continue to redouble their commitment to giving back to those organizations that help enhance life in their communities.  And Education takes a real priority.  “The key to solving all of our society’s problems rests on education, and the stakes are higher than we think.  We believe in getting involved to try to enhance learning opportunities for students of all ages” says Kyle Lumsden, ClearView’s President.

They are bringing this commitment to life each month through their “Warm Hearts – ClearView Cares” charitable giving program.  This represents the next generation of their well-established Charity of the Month Cash Giveaway Program, supporting Calgary’s charitable organizations and non-profits.

Each month ClearView Plumbing features a spotlight non-profit sector and enthusiastically extends an invitation to all Calgary area charities and non-profit organizations within that month’s spotlight sector to apply for the $1,000 charitable gift.

October’s  spotlight sector  is Education.  All non-profits in the Calgary area involved in Education are invited to apply by filling out the form on their web site at during the month of October, or members of the community can nominate an Education non-profit.  Charities may receive multiple entries, so refer your friends to their site.  A random drawing will be held at the end of the month and the winning charity will receive a $1,000 contribution.  Each charity can only win once during this program.

Their spotlight calendar for the remainder of 2010:

October 2010       Education

November 2010    Senior Services

December 2010    Volunteer Organizations
