Indigo Launches Dekks Social Knowledge Application for Business, Education and Communities

— Indigo today announced at the DEMOfall 09 conference a new software for Social Knowledge Networking for Business customers. Dekks allows companies and their employees to naturally build a knowledge network and rich database based on a Twitter-like approach to posting notes and rating answers. Dekks, building on a shared history of contextual information will answer the question “Who Knows What?” for any and all types of questions that occur on a daily basis within companies.

With no installation and configuration, a company can be up and running in minutes. Use of basic functionality is free and use of more sophisticated reporting costs $2 per user per month.

Customers using Dekks closed Beta had the following to say about Dekks:

“We need to know who the players are in our company. Even with only 200 employees, we don’t know who the key people are. After using Dekks, we quickly identified who our Stars are and in general the awareness internally for response and knowledge has increased dramatically.”

Chris Shipley, executive producer of the DEMO conferences, says, “Dekks is an innovative new social knowledge tool for business that will really help businesses know themselves. I see Dekks as a huge opportunity for businesses to make great leap in productivity, real-time knowledge and real-time analysis of results.”

“The key with Dekks is that we are moving to a new era of communication. One that recognizes the pull / subscription method of communication, while not trivializing the content. Businesses need structured information and need to act based on it. This is what Dekks is about,” said CEO John Tomizuka.
