The singers have also extended an invitation to His Holiness the Dalai Lama to grace the concert during their audience on the morning of 29 December, The Tibet Post International reported.

They hope that his kind of activity will make Taiwanese youth to become more concerned about freedoms, democracy, and human rights.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama said that Taiwanese people should uphold human rights issues everywhere in the world, including Tibet and Taiwan.

While in Dharamshala, the singers will also visit the Central Tibetan Administration, educational institutions and non-governmental organisations to learn more about the situation of the exiled Tibetan people.

Freddy and his band will return to Taiwan on 2 January.
