NEW YORK (RPRN) 5/19/2009--Swizz Beatz After months of speculation, rapper/producer Swizz Beatz has officially confirmed, to the NY Daily News, that his relationship with Alicia Keys is, in fact, real and solid.
“What we have is so precious,” reveals Swizz to the paper, “But we’re nowhere near ready for a baby or a ring”.
Before Swizz, whose real name is Kasseem Dean, revealed to the press his official status with Keys, the hit-making producer made his feelings well known for the Superwoman singer on Drake’s Best I Ever Had remix.
“Wake up in the morning and my baby cooked me breakfast, A’s naked wearing nothing on but a necklace” raps Swizz.
Although it seems obvious that the person Swizz is referring to on the track is none other than Keys herself, Swizz claims that these assumptions are false and that his lyrics have been grossly misconstrued.
“This whole song is not about Alicia. The part about her cooking breakfast for me naked – she’s never done that for me.”
Estranged for months from his wife, Mashonda, Beatz tells NY Daily News that he “wishes Mashonda would leave Alicia out of their divorce”.
After filing divorce papers in February, Mashonda is seeking interim support for their son, Kasseem Jr.
Swizz is currently working on his sophomore album Life After The Party.
