LOS ANGELES (RUSHPRNEWS) AUGUST 7, 2008–Here are the results of Fandango’s online survey of more than 1,000 moviegoers planning to see Tropic Thunder (opening next Wednesday):* 81% of moviegoers planning to see Tropic Thunder also plan to see Pineapple Express;
* 75% of respondents say they are more interested in these two comedies because of their “R” rating;
* 83% say they are not turned off by gory graphic humor;
* 43% say that Robert Downey, Jr.’s performance is the single most important factor prompting them to buy a ticket to see Tropic Thunder;
* 94% say they are not offended by the concept of Downey’s Tropic character, in a satirical jab at Hollywood method actors, donning “blackface” for his war movie role.
