Social Media: “The Big Sexy Buzz†Pubcon Panel to Demystify Online Marketing
LAS VEGAS,NV(RUSPRNEWS)10/29/2008—The marketing world is scoring high using social media tools to reach a wider audience. And when it was reported by Reuters (reuters,09/16/2008) during an interview with Bill Tancer, author of, “Click: What Millions of People are Doing Online and Why It Matters,” that social media sites now surpass porn sites in terms of popularity, the business world sprung into attention. Addressing the subject at Pubcon in Las Vegas,on November 11, is panellist and blogger Guillaume Bouchard, CEO of NVI, an interactive strategy shop serving the North-American online market.
Bouchard is recognized for his ability to not only turn social media into powerful viral buzz, but also into measurable return. A much sought-after speaker and a regular panelist, he’s known for demystifying social media and showing how it can be adapted to business. Bouchard states, “Social media covers a wide range of strategies brimming with potential. It’s important to understand the social media channels to know what sticks for who and where.â€
Social media sites such as Facebook, MySpace and others were launched with the simple goal of joining people in the virtual world, but have now developed into serious marketing opportunities for the players who know how to make the rules work for them. But few actually know what those rules are and more importantly how to join the rank of those players. Guillaume Bouchard and other panellists will answer these questions and raise new ones at Pubcon (pubcon.com) panel, “Social Media: The Big Sexy Buzzâ€, Tuesday November 11. Bouchard will bring to the panel in-depth analysis and the latest research analysis by NVI’s social team, one of the few in its kind, elucidating best practices for social media optimization.
This year’s Pubcon, the search engine and Internet marketing conference is featuring its biggest ever line-up of industry-leading speakers with no less than 85 sessions at the Las Vegas Convention Center, North Hall, on November 11-14, 2008.
