NEW YORK (RUSHPRNEWS)AUGUST 7, 2008–Grammy winner Lauryn Hill has become an enigma since her solo debut “The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill” exploded on the music scene back in 1998. Although she has teased fans with an MTV Unplugged performance and a warm up single from the Fugees, she has largely remained off the radar. But the new issue of People magazine is hinting at the possibility of the R&B singer/rapper returning to the game.

“She write music in the bathroom, on toilet paper, on the wall,” said Rohan Marley, the father of Lauryn’s five children. “She writes it in the mirror if the mirror smokes up. She writes constantly. This woman does not sleep.”

A source at Lauryn’s label, Sony, seemed to be less enthusiastic about the project. They told the popular magazine that although she is still signed she is currently “on hiatus.”

Hill has lived in “seclusion” since the release of MOLH, only emerging to wet appetites for a Fugees reunion and for a brief tour last summer.

During one performance, it is said that she showed up hours late with heavy make up and an afro wigs. According to reports, disappointed fans booed her and skipped out early.

At press time, Lauryn herself had offered no comment confirming or denying a new project.
