NEW YORK (RushPRnews)12/26/08– Yo! Raps Magazine reports taht Jamie Foxx’s third album, Intuition, debuts at #3 on this week’s Top 200 Albums chart, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Sparked by the hit songs Just Like Me featuring T.I., and She Got Her Own featuring Ne-Yo and Fabolous, Intuition also enters at #2 on the R&B Albums chart with a total of 265,196 units sold in the first week.
As Just Like Me continues to climb up the urban radio charts, the comical Brett Ratner-directed video peaked at #2 on BET’s 106 & Park and is in heavy rotation on MTV2.
After officially announcing the December 16th release date for Intuition five weeks ago, the Academy Award winning actor and Grammy-nominated singer embarked on a whirlwind promo tour in support of the album, inclusive of multiple major cities album listening/release parties, radio visits and unforgettable TV appearances/performances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Good Morning America and BET’s 106 & Park.
On December 16, 2005, Foxx released his J Records debut album Unpredictable, which entered at #2 on both Top 200 Albums and Current R&B Albums charts. Sparked by the success of the album’s title track, Unpredictable sold 597,554 units in its first week of release and positioned Foxx among the ranks of 50 Cent, Coldplay, Kanye West and Mary J. Blige as one of the highest selling debuts of 2005.
