It’s All About The Sports On The Google Zeitgeist This Week – Google Announces Top 10 Gainers for the Week Ending May 5th

Meanwhile, thoroughbred racing fans get their due as they anticipated the 133rd running of the [kentucky derby]. This year’s hoopla features even more pomp and circumstance than usual: Queen Elizabeth is in the house. For their part, baseball fans focused on news about St. Louis Cardinals’ pitcher [josh hancock], who died this week in an alcohol-related car crash.

And then there are other sports, such as the couch potato’s favorite, [american idol]. After a two-night extravaganza including a charity event and Bon Jovi’s assists, Chris Richardson and Phil Stacey were both voted off, and fans now tune in for the final four.
