An infidelity expert discusses why betrayed wives like Christie Brinkley might use a public divorce trial as a way of getting revenge on a cheating spouse.
NEW YORK (RUSHPRNEWS) July 2, 2008 — Christie Brinkley’s upcoming divorce trial has caused much speculation about whether or not Christie is using the public trial to get revenge on her cheating husband, Peter Cook. The divorce hearing, which begins tomorrow, was initiated by Christie Brinkley in 2006, after learning of Cook’s extramarital affair with his then 18-year-old office assistant Diana Bianchi.
According to one infidelity expert, this may be the latest wrinkle in getting even with a cheating mate.
Is Christie Out for Revenge?
Cook’s attorney, Norman Sheresky, insists that Christie’s request for a public trial was motivated by revenge. He says she’s only interested in paying Cook back for cheating on her.
An unnamed source claims that Christie is still “spitting mad” at her soon-to-be ex.
Christie’s attorney, Robert S. Cohen, however, has hinted that other factors may be involved. He says that having the divorce hearing open to the public is the only way to restore Christie’s reputation and present the unfiltered truth.
Is Christie Justified in Wanting to Get Revenge?

In addition to stories about his womanizing, there have been rumors about Cook trolling porn sites on the internet, and logging on to swinger’s sites in search of women for three-way sex.
