POM Provides 1,800 High-Tech Parking Meters to Montgomery, Alabama

After careful evaluation and award of bids in May of this year, the City of Montgomery, Alabama, has installed 800 new electronic parking meter inserts from POM Incorporated. The high-tech digital mechanisms accept coins and smart cards and allow the city to utilize their existing meter housings. The meters may be audited and programmed through the payment slot, a method patented by POM. The city’s satisfaction with the quality and performance of the new meters has resulted in another order of 1,000, to be shipped by yearend.
