ReelHeART 2009 - Toronto's "Cool Film Festival"

TORONTO (RPRN) 6/8/2009--ReelHEART will premiere 129 Films submitted from over 30 countries in our biggest year yet. Please join us at the 5^th Annual ReelHeART International Film Festival (RHIFF)June 22-27, 2009. We've got so many great films this year and a NEW category of competition. We have introduced an award for "Best Cinematography". The award will be coming from famed photo journalist from Paris-Match and Life Magazine I.C. Rapoport. What else is happening before we launch ReelHEART...?

ReelHeART is exciting to be involved in this year’s Big on Bloor Festival, Saturday June 20^th from 1PM-9PM. Come meet Representatives and Filmmakers from ReelHeART at two locations:

1. 860 Bloor Street West at Hits and Misses Record Store (near Ossington)

2. On Bloor near Montrose Street

Local Filmmakers will be stopping by all throughout the day with giveaways and free passes to their films. They’re coming out to show their community that yes, Toronto Filmmakers can and do make great films! Come meet them and a few of our early arrivals from around the world!

In these last 5 years, we’ve grown tremendously as a film festival, from a 3-day event to 6 days. We’ve become known as the “Filmmakers’ Film Festival” we think in part due to our organization, communication and support we give to the filmmaking community all over the world, all year long. We’ve created a brand that has ‘name recognition’, affectionately known in Toronto as the “cool film festival”. The parties are always sold out and the films are always talked about from one screening to the next. Get your tickets online now before they're all sold out.

The goal of ReelHeART is to bring everyone together in one place regardless of who they are. Quite unlike other fests in the city, we don’t separate VIPs from ‘regular folk’. Industry Pros, Sponsors, Contest Winners, Filmmakers, Writers, Actors and Audiences all interact together.
