John Travolta and Kelly Preston's Son Dies on Friday

Freeport, Bahamas (RushPRNews) 01/03/09-It is sadly reported by RushPRNews that John Travolta and Kelly Preston's teenage son, Jett,16, died in the Bahamas this Friday. Jett who suffered from seizure, is believed to have fallen in the bathroom and to have hit his head against the bathtub at his family's vacation home in the Bahamas, reported the police

After being found by a member of the household staff unconscious, he was taken to a Freeport hospital and died shortly after.

A spokeswoman for Rand Memorial Hospital in Freeport said she could not release any information because of privacy concerns.  An autopsy is scheduled to be performed on Monday, said Police Superintendent Basil Rahming on Saturday, to determine the cause of death .

Travolta and wife Kelly Preston also have another child, Ella Bleu, an 8-year-old daughter.

The family arrived in Old Bahama Bay resort community on a private plane Tuesday for a vacation.

"The Travolta family has become like family to us at Old Bahama Bay and we extend our deepest sympathies to them," said in a released statement Robert Gidel, president of Ginn Resorts, the property's owner.
