HOLLYWOOD, CA(Hollywood Today/rushprnews)10/17/08“The couple had hope to keep this separation quiet for the sake of their children,” Duchovny’s reps wrote in a statement. David Duchovny, 48, has been the center of tabloid attention since stating in a press release on August 28 he was entering a rehabilitation clinic for sex addition.
“In light of the speculation over the lives and marriage of Tea Leoni and David Duchovny, the couple has confirmed that they have in fact separated for several months,” the couple wrote in a joint statement.
Blue eyed Leoni, 42 and Duchovny are currently starring in ‘Ghost Town’ together. Duchovny’s big Hollywood break came through as FBI Special Agent Fox Mulder in the hit TV series ‘X Files.’
The eight year series show became the Fox network’s first Sci-fi hit show. Leoni’s big break came through as Julie Mott in ‘Bad Boys’ with co-stars Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. The film was a huge commercial success producing $60 million in profits for Producer Jerry Bruckheimer.
Duchovny’s current role in Showtime’s ‘Californication’ is playing a womanizing novelist. Leoni has another project in development, ‘Manure’ which in post production.
This is Duchovny’s first marriage and Leoni’s second marriage. The Malibu couple has been married since 1997 and produced two children together. Madelaine, 9, and Kyd, 6.
