Halloween's Hottest Movie-Inspired Costumes Include The Joker, Iron Man and House Bunny, Says Fandango Survey

Nation's Leading Moviegoer Destination Surveys Thousands of Fans on Their Top Hollywood Halloween Outfits

Los Angeles, Calif., 10/13/08- Fandango has announced the results of an October survey of nearly 3,000 filmgoers, who ranked their top Halloween costume inspirations from movies released in 2008. "The Joker", as immortalized by the late Heath Ledger in "The Dark Knight", took the top spot for the most popular men's costume inspired by a 2008 movie, with Christian Bale's "Batman" not far behind.

Robert Downey, Jr.'s movie roles in "Iron Man" and "Tropic Thunder" helped round out the third and fourth choices, while Harrison Ford's "Indiana Jones" made up the fifth pick.
"The House Bunny', as played by Anna Faris, took the top spot for the most popular women's costume inspired by a 2008 movie, followed by characters played by Kristen Stewart (the upcoming "Twilight"), Angelina Jolie ("Wanted"), Miley Cyrus ("Hannah Montana 3D"), and Vanessa Hudgens ("High School Musical 3: Senior Year").

"Movies have always been great fodder for Halloween costume ideas," says Ted Hong, Vice President of Marketing for Fandango. "Many of pop culture's most iconic characters come from film. The best part is that each year you get a new supply of costume suggestions, thanks to the latest Hollywood inspirations, and this year has provided a bumper crop."
