LOS ANGELES(RUSHPRNEWS)27/09/2008 - After undergoing several procedures to treat his burns, DJ AM (a.k.a. Adam Goldstein) was released from Augusta's Joseph Still Burn Center yesterday. The DJ took the bus back home, and is now safe and sound in LA.
Barker and Goldstein have started a memorial fund, which can be accessed through their MySpace pages, honouring Lil Chris Baker and Charles "Che" Still, who were killed by impact-related injuries in the plane crash. Both good friends of Travis Barker, "Lil Chris" Baker, was Barker’s personal assistant and Charles ‘Che’ Still was the drummer’s security guard.
AM and former Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker were the only two survivors of a horrible plane crash that killed four last Friday. The two musicians suffered extensive second-and-third degree burns. Barker has undergone several surgeries for burns over his torso and lower body, but the drummer is staying positive and is expected to make a full and speedy recovery.
“If you make it out of a crash of that magnitude, somebody’s looking out for you,” said Bill Nosal, Barker’s friend and spokesman for Famous Stars and Straps, a Los Angeles-based clothing and accessory line created by the Barker. “He’s trying to stay upbeat.”
DJ AM's publicist says, "while he is deeply saddened by the events he is thankful for all of the love and support he has been receiving from fans and friends."
The Chris Baker Memorial Fund and the Charles Still Memorial Fund have been established for the benefit of Chris' and Charles' families. Donations may be sent to the respective funds at the following address:
