Jay-Z To Headline Hollywood Palladium Reopening

LOS ANGELES, CA (RUSHPRNEWS) AUGUST 28, 2008–The famous Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles will celebrate its reopening next month with a performance by Marcy Projects’ own Jay-Z. Jay will grace the stage with a 12-piece band for the inaugural performance, says Billboard.com.  No words if his wife BeyoncĂ© will accompany him or not.
“Just as Frank ushered in a golden era, I hope this opening will mark the beginning of resurgence in generation-defining live music,” Jay said in a statement.

Since it’s opening in 1940, The Hollywood Palladium has hosted historic performances by Frank Sinatra and James Brown. It closed its doors in April of this year for renovations.

Fans can cop tickets to Jay’s performance through livenation.com starting September 5th.
