50 Cent Holds Up Investigation

NEW YORK (RUSHPRNEWS)AUGUST 21, 2008--An investigation into the "suspicious" fire that destroyed 50 Cent's multi-million dollar mansion in Long Island, NY is being delayed due to the rapper's apparent unwilligness to meet with investigators.

Officials told ABC News that several attempts have been made to reach Fiddy (born Curtis Jackson), but the rap star, who topped Forbes Hip Hop Cash Kings 2008 list with earnings of more than $150 million last year, has yet to return calls to schedule an interview.

"We interview every owner of every structure that goes on fire," the official reported. "It's standard procedure."

At press time, 50's attorney, Brett Kimmel had not made a statement regarding the issue.

Jackson was reportedly trying to evict former girlfriend, Shaniqua Tompkins, who was living at the estate with his 10-year-old son, Marquis, before the house burned down in late May.

As previously reported by Yo! Raps, 50 was recently reunited with his son after claiming Tompkins had "kidnapped" him.
