Li Ning: " I hope Madrid will host the 2016 Olympic Games"

Support for Madrid Grows in the Olympic Community

Madrid,Spain(RUSHPRNEWS) August 19,2008--The Madrid 2016 Olympic bid has now a new top level International support. The triple Olympic champion in gymnastics, the Chinese Li Ning, who lightened the cauldron of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games during the Opening Ceremony, said yesterday: "I support Madrid and I hope the city will host the Olympic Games in 2016".



Li Ning gave this speech during his visit to the "Casa de España", where he was welcomed by Mercedes Coghen, Madrid 2016 CEO, and Antonio Fernández Arimany, Managing Director of Madrid 2016. They explained him the Olympic project of the Spanish capital.
