Lee Grivas dies from suspected heroin overdose

HOLLYWOOD, CA (RUSHPRNEWS) 7/5/08 - - "I am profoundly saddened," said Christina Applegate, star of ‘Married with Children' and ‘Samantha Who?' The aspiring photographer and skateboarder, Lee Grivas, 26, was the on-again off-again boyfriend of Christina Applegate, 36, over the past 18 months. "Lee was an incredible human being who was an extremely important and beautiful part of my life," Applegate added.
Grivas was found dead by a neighbor in his Hollywood apartment July 1, allegedly from an apparent overdose of heroin. He was known by Hollywood insiders to have a history of drug problems. ‘There was a syringe located at his apartment when he was found, according to TV Guide.
Applegate further added, "He is missed beyond words. He touched so many and I feel much sadness for his mother, brother and all of his family and friends."
The Los Angeles county coroner's office is refusing to give any public information about the death until toxicology tests are complete. There were no reports of any visible evidence on the body that a physical altercation took place. Immediate reports have been apparent accidental overdose or possible suicide by overdose. The toxicology report is expected within a week of Grivas' autopsy but could be delayed with the 4th of July holiday weekend.
Applegate's relationship with Grivas began in 2006 after her husband Jonathon Schaech filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences on December 5, 2005. The divorce became final on August 10, 2007.
